HISTORY: Ronald Reagan talks about achieving peace through strength

When Ronald Reagan became president, America was seen as weak by the rest of the world. As a result, there were some rogue nations who thought America would not respond to to attacks, such as kidnappings of our citizens or the outright murder of our civilians and military by bombings. President Reagan had a different approach - he knew we could not achieve peace through negotiations with these terrorist countries, and instead, needed to achieve peace through strength.
